The DUMAT MOISTURE Generator MODEL MG-101
delivers customer selectable “calibration standard” for validation/verification of trace moisture analyzers.
The system generates a known moisture content selectable from 1 ppm to 100 ppm in a nitrogen carrier gas with a volume of 20 SL/h (333 cc/min.).

Principle
In an electrolytic cell, Oxygen and Hydrogen are generated in a known amount according to the "FARADAY LAW". This Oxygen and Hydrogen are then added in a Nitrogen carrier gas with a constant flow of 20 SL/h. This gas mixture is than passed through a catalyst where the remaining oxygen and hydrogen are burned to water. The result is a combined Nitrogen gas with a known amount of water content.
During testing, the 4-way valve on the front panel allows fast switching between span and zero gas to easily verify the moisture sensor response. Zero gas is supplied through a molecular sieve and thereby will generate a zero gas with less than 0.1 ppm moisture.
